Vietnam Wholesale Clothing Prices 2026: VND, USD & INR Price Guide

If you are planning to source clothes from Vietnam for your retail store, boutique, or online business, understanding wholesale clothing prices and currency conversion can help you plan your purchasing budget more effectively.

Vietnam has several wholesale clothing markets where buyers can find garments at different price points depending on the product, fabric, quality, quantity, market, and individual supplier.

Updated After My September 2026 Vietnam Trip

I originally wrote this article in August 2026, before my Vietnam trip, based on my research into wholesale clothing prices and Vietnam's major wholesale markets.

In September 2026, I travelled to Ho Chi Minh City and personally visited wholesale markets including Tan Binh Market and An Dong Market. During my visit, I checked different types of clothing and spoke with sellers to understand the actual market situation.

I have therefore updated this article with some of my first-hand observations from September 2026.

Please remember that wholesale clothing prices are not fixed. They can vary depending on design, fabric, quality, quantity, season, and the individual supplier. The prices below should therefore be considered indicative prices rather than guaranteed rates.

Estimated Wholesale Clothing Prices in Vietnam

The following price ranges were part of my original research before travelling to Vietnam. They can be useful as a starting point when preparing a sourcing budget.

T-Shirts & Casual Tops

  • VND: 25,000 – 60,000 VND
  • USD: approximately $1.00 – $2.40
  • INR: approximately ₹85 – ₹200 per piece

Women's Dresses & Two-Piece Sets

  • VND: 80,000 – 180,000 VND
  • USD: approximately $3.20 – $7.20
  • INR: approximately ₹270 – ₹600 per piece

Children's Wear

  • VND: 30,000 – 75,000 VND
  • USD: approximately $1.20 – $3.00
  • INR: approximately ₹100 – ₹250 per piece

Denim Jeans & Trousers

  • VND: 90,000 – 200,000 VND
  • USD: approximately $3.60 – $8.00
  • INR: approximately ₹300 – ₹670 per piece

Jackets & Outerwear

  • VND: 120,000 – 350,000 VND
  • USD: approximately $4.80 – $14.00

What I Actually Found at Tan Binh Market in September 2026

My September 2026 visit gave me a more practical understanding of wholesale clothing prices in Ho Chi Minh City.

At Tan Binh Market, I checked men's pre-winter clothing and found garments sold in three-piece size sets. One example I found was around 280,000 VND per piece.

The price was higher than some of the lower estimates I had found during my original online research.

This was an important lesson for me as a small-business buyer: an online price estimate does not always represent the actual price of the particular quality, design, or stock available when you visit the market.

I also noticed that prices varied according to the garment and supplier. Therefore, buyers should check several stalls before deciding what to purchase.

For my own sourcing plan, I calculated the possible landed cost after considering transportation and other expenses. In the case of the men's pre-winter garments I checked, the final cost was not suitable for the inventory budget I had planned, so I decided not to purchase that particular stock.

This is one reason I recommend checking the actual market yourself before placing a large wholesale order.

You can read the complete story in my Vietnam Travel & Business Diary – Day 3, where I explain what I saw while exploring An Dong and Tan Binh and how the market experience differed from my pre-trip research.

Tan Binh Market and An Dong Market

During my September 2026 trip, I personally visited both An Dong Market and Tan Binh Market.

I found the two markets different in terms of the stalls, products, atmosphere and prices I encountered.

For my own clothing-sourcing research, Tan Binh Market was more useful for exploring wholesale clothing options. However, this does not mean that every product will always be cheaper there.

If you are planning a sourcing trip, it is worth visiting more than one wholesale market and comparing the products before buying.

Factors That Affect Wholesale Clothing Prices in Vietnam

1. Quantity

The price can depend on how many pieces you purchase. Some suppliers may offer different prices for larger quantities, while others may have their own minimum purchase requirements.

Always ask the seller about the price for the quantity you actually intend to buy.

2. Fabric and Quality

Fabric, stitching, finishing, design and overall garment quality can make a significant difference to the price.

A basic synthetic garment and a higher-quality fabric garment should not be expected to have the same wholesale price.

3. Design and Season

Seasonal clothing, new designs and fashionable products can have different prices from basic or older stock.

For example, winter and pre-winter garments may be priced differently from lightweight summer clothing.

4. Market and Supplier

Prices can vary from one market or stall to another. Even within the same market, different suppliers may quote different prices for similar-looking products.

For this reason, comparing several stalls before purchasing can help you understand the market better.

Buying and Negotiation Tips for Foreign Buyers

Carry Vietnamese Dong

Many wholesale sellers prefer payment in Vietnamese Dong, particularly for market transactions. Having local currency available can make shopping easier.

Ask for the Wholesale Price

You can ask the seller for the “giá sỉ”, which refers to the wholesale price.

If you are buying for a retail store or business, clearly explain that you are purchasing for resale.

Compare Before Buying

Do not purchase the first product you see simply because the price appears attractive.

Check several stalls, compare quality and prices, and then decide whether the product fits your business budget.

Calculate Landed Cost

The purchase price is not your complete business cost.

Before placing a large order, consider expenses such as:

  • Local transportation
  • Freight or cargo charges
  • Customs duties and taxes, where applicable
  • Clearance charges
  • Packaging
  • Other import-related expenses

The actual landed cost will depend on your shipping method, shipment value, product category and applicable import requirements.

My Main Lesson From Visiting Vietnam

Before my trip, I researched wholesale clothing prices online and prepared an estimated sourcing budget.

After visiting the markets myself, I realised that actual prices can be quite different from general online estimates.

For a small retailer or boutique owner, this is important because the buying price alone does not determine whether a product will be profitable.

You should consider the quality, quantity, shipping expenses, import-related costs and your local selling price before deciding what to buy.

My September 2026 Vietnam trip helped me understand this difference between research-based estimates and real market experience.

If you are planning a complete Vietnam sourcing trip, my Vietnam Trip Cost from India 2026 guide can also help you prepare a separate travel and shopping budget.

Conclusion

Vietnam can be an interesting sourcing destination for boutique owners, retailers and resellers, but wholesale clothing prices vary considerably depending on the product and supplier.

The price ranges in this article were originally researched before my September 2026 trip. I have now added my own observations from visiting Tan Binh and An Dong markets in Ho Chi Minh City, so readers can compare general estimates with a real buyer's experience.

If you are planning your own Vietnam sourcing trip, use online price guides as a starting point, but always verify prices and quality directly with suppliers before making a large purchase.
